A modern family home designed to be practical and enduring for a young family to spread their wings. Perched high on a north facing ridge over looking the Wairau Valley the views were always going to command centre stage.

Where glass abounds, wall space diminishes making this a difficult design due to limited available space. With a frost free climate and full all day sun the property just had to maximise Kiwi outdoor living.

 

This is an exercise in successful design working within a mid range budget but delivering exceptional results.

On this exciting project we designed the house, the interiors and the landscapes. When required we engaged engineers and licensed draughters to provide essential documents for consent. Specifying eternal cladding and interior finishes was fun and rewarding, watching the house become a home.
